Unique test solutions for the 60 GHz transmission technology
This high-frequency-range technology is a fairly new wireless communications concept that aims to exploit the 7 GHz of bandwidth available in the 60 GHz unlicensed band. It enables short-range communications applications such as data transfer and uncompressed audio and video (A/V) transmissions, and high data rates beyond 1 Gbit/s at up to 10 meters.
The unique portfolio includes the R&S®FSU67 spectrum analyzerR&S®FSU67 spectrum analyzer, which is the first spectrum analyzer with a direct frequency range from 20 Hz to 67 GHz and fundamental mixing. Measurements up to 67 GHz – in overrange up to 70 GHz – are possible. The frequency range can also easily be extended by adding the high-performance R&S®FS-Z60/75/90/110 harmonic mixersR&S®FS-Z60/75/90/110 harmonic mixers from Rohde & Schwarz to support frequency measurements up to 110 GHz. The spectrum analyzers also support third-party harmonic mixers to accomplish measurements up to 1 THz.
The R&S®ZVA67R&S®ZVA67 is the first and so far only four-port vector network analyzer up to 67 GHz for measuring four-port or balanced devices. Moreover, its four sources can be used independently, which is important for intermodulation tests or system applications. By using the R&S®ZVA-Z75/110/325R&S®ZVA-Z75/110/325 frequency converters, the frequency range of the network analyzers can even be further extended up to 325 GHz.
In addition, the unique Rohde & Schwarz portfolio includes the R&S®NRP-Z57 thermal power sensorR&S®NRP-Z57 thermal power sensor that provides a frequency range from DC up to 67 GHz. It can be used to perform highly accurate and continuous measurements of average power.
Featuring continuous measurements over wide frequency ranges make the unique high-frequency solutions from Rohde & Schwarz also ideally suited for all microwave and millimeter wave test applications.
